| We are concerned with people who have physical and mental problems through music. Through Music Therapy we focus on people who have been suffering from physical and mental problems and try to recover their physical functions and mental disorders. |

Music Therapy deals with people who have been suffering from physical and mental disorders and stress-related diseases through music. The purpose of studying music therapy is that music has physiological, psychological and social functions which enable to recover physical and mental disorders and to improve quality of life.
Students are required to study not only music but also the knowledge of medical, psychological and welfare fields.

We study the core subjects related with music therapy from prince professors of the field of music therapy. Students are required to learn to play a musical instrument such as a synthesizer, a flute, a harmonica, a hand-bell and other easy to learn musical instrument. Also students learn how to sing and express themselves.
Music Therapy concerns with many different kinds of people with mental deficiency, physically disabled, autism, reclusive and unsociable, bullying, ADHD and aged. We prepare curriculums which need to meet these demands.

Who can enroll in this division? Those who have graduated from the departments of nursery, children’s education，music, social welfare, nurse and medicine, and psychology and those who have licenses of teacher, nurse and social care worker can enroll in this division.
Students will study 12 subjects related to music which include “General Outline of Music Therapy” and “Practice of Music Therapy”. Student will also study 7 subjects related to medical, psychological and welfare fields including the subject “Psychology of disabled children”.
